HOUSTON, June 28, 2011 — Arcos, Inc. announced today that it entered into a $750k cooperative agreement contract with the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) to develop the Burn Resuscitation Decision Support System (BRDSS). The BRDSS is a patented decision support tool to aid fluid resuscitation of serious burn victims. The underlying technology was developed by the U.S. Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR) Combat Critical Care Engineering (C3E) group and has been in clinical use at the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio for a few years.
